For the most part, institutional access is limited to computers within a particular set of Internet IP addresses. See Guidelines for Institutional Access for details about authorized use and authorized users.
For example, each campus in the State University of New York system is considered a different site, and each branch or office of UpJohn Laboratories is considered a different site.
Subscribing to ASHA Journals is a two step process:

Once your serials vendor or ASHA has received payment, you will receive a letter with instructions for activating your access to ASHA Journals. The letter will direct you to the online activation area. You will be asked to provide the following information necessary to activate your subscription to ASHA Journals:
Institution's IP Address(es)
Contact name, title, phone, fax, and e-mail
Customer Number (included with the letter)
Your institution will not have access to the full text ASHA Journal(s) Online until you activate your subscription.
A letter has been sent out instructing subscribers on how to sign on to the online journal(s). If you are having difficulties in accessing the material, please read the following instructions:
If you are subscribing to ASHA Journals directly through ASHA (and the issues are being shipped directly to your address through an agent), please call us at 1-888-498-6699 or fax us at 301-296-8590 and we will assist you. Make sure that the Subscriber ID Number on your journal label or in your letter is available.
If you are subscribing to ASHA Journals through an agent and the issues are being sent to them at their collection place, please call your agent and ask them to provide us with documentation that identifies you as a subscriber. Without documentation, you will not be identified as a paid subscriber and we will not be able to help you from our office.
